Orbit Exports on expansion drive

Orbit Exports, the country’s largest exporter of specialty made-ups, has chalked out a Rs 25 crore investment for setting up a state-of-the-art weaving facility, which will increase its product line four-fold.

The company will use a combination of fresh issue and debt for its expansion plan to be carried out in two years.

The company, which earlier was essentially a fabric manufacturing company, has gone up the value chain over the past three years by manufacturing niche “made-ups” catering to various festivals in western countries.
