Press Trust of India Mumbai

City-based retailer Provogue plans to invest Rs 25 crore for setting up about 35 Provogue stores and eight Promart outlets across the country.

"We plan to set up nearly 35 stores of Provogue by 2010 across the country that would be spread across 800-4,000 sq ft at an investment of Rs 15 crore," Provogue Director Salil Chaturvedi told PTI here.

"They will come up in high streets and malls, more particularly in malls. We are spreading equally in metros as well as Tier II and Tier III cities," he said.

Of the eight Promart stores, four will come this year and the remaining next year.

"The eight Promart stores will come up within 18 months at an investment of over Rs 10 crore. The first four stores will come up in the larger markets such as Mumbai and Delhi. Besides these, we have identified certain locations including Pune, Ludhiana, Thane and Hyderabad," Chaturvedi said.

The Promart retail store-chain typically has stores of 20,000 sq ft. Currently, Promart outlets are located in Indore and Ahmedabad.
