Reliance MF's assets miss trillion mark

Reliance MF's average assets under management stood at Rs 96,386.40 crore at the end of April, against Rs 90,937.94 crore till March 30, according to latest figures available on the Association for Mutual funds in India's website.

Earlier, media reports had said Reliance MF had become the first fund house in India to touch the Rs 1 trillion mark in assets under management.

 

The AUMs of all the 34 mutual funds in the country are not yet available on the AMFI website. Reliance MF is the only one in the top five whose April-end AUM data is available.

Last month, the combined AUMs had witnessed a fall of Rs 58,000 crore led by market leaders Reliance MF, ICICI Prudential and UTI MF.

Reliance MF's AUMs had dropped by Rs 2,593 crore in March from Rs 93,531.67 crore at the end of February.

According to a recent report by domestic brokerage firm Sharekhan, MFs are sitting on Rs 23,545 crore of cash that is waiting to be deployed in the market. Of this, Rs 19,214 crore lies with existing MFs, while the remaining Rs 4,331 crore has been mobilised through the NFOs.
