Reliance Retail opens 3 stores a day in Dec quarter

Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Retail opened over three stores a day or a total of 279 stores during the December quarter of the current financial year.

This was one of the highest number of stores opened during a particular quarter. Reliance Digital format opened a record number of 231 stores during the quarter.

Reliance Retail posted a PBDIT (profit before depreciation, interest, tax) of Rs 227 crore during December quarter of FY 2015 which is 114% higher than the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. Its total revenues went up 19% on a yearly basis in Q3 of FY 2015 at Rs 4,686 crore.
