Review contracts with Satyam auditor: RBI

The Reserve Bank may ask banks to be more cautious in their dealings with Price Waterhouse, the statutory auditor of scam-tainted Satyam Computer.

“It is quite natural that the RBI may ask banks to be more cautious in their dealings with Price Waterhouse after the Satyam-scam,” said an official from the Indian Banks’ Association.

However, there is no official communication to this effect so far but it is expected that the apex bank may take such a step, the official said.
