State-run NTPC has said S C Pandey has taken over the charge as Director (Projects) of the company with effect from today.
An instrumentation Engineer by profession, Pandey joined NTPC as an executive trainee in 1978.
He has 34 years of experience and exposure to areas of engineering, project construction and operations of power plants.
Pandey has a strong background in managing, operating and maintaining some of the largest power stations of the country.
He was earlier Executive Director (Project Planning & Monitoring), responsible for planning and implementation of pre-and-post-award activities related to Thermal, Hydro, Coal mining, Renewable, R&M and International JVs, a company statement said.
Pandey has taken over from B P Singh, who superannuated yesterday, the statement added.
