Shipping Corporation of India (SCI), today said it has put its vessels-acquisition plan on hold.
Addressing shareholders at the company's annual general meeting here, SCI's Chairman and Managing Director S Hajara said the company expected a correction in ship building prices and, hence, has put its plans for acquiring vessels on hold.
The company intends to pursue its plans of expansion in shipping markets through the inorganic route, he said.
According to him, international business was not likely to grow this fiscal.
