Shemaroo gets Maha govt tender for digital restoration

The company has restored more than 450 films since 2001

Entertainment, the content aggregator and distributor, has bagged a project of government of Maharashtra to digitally restore 4,000 minutes of content.

According to the agreement, the company needs to restore several of short films and from negative/print.

Hiren Gada, director, Entertainment, said, “We are honoured to get an opportunity to serve the Govt. of Maharashtra and digitally restore many of its films and The process will enable us to save content from getting lost.”

Shemaroo has worked with many of the known players in the industry to restore their content, namely, Yash Raj Films and Vinod Chopra Productions among others. Few films that it restored include Mohabbatein, Veer Zaara, Anand, Chupke Chupke, Kaajal, Mahaan, Mera Gaon Mera Desh, Deewaar among others.
