Tata Tele, Gujarat Gas, FDC & Syntel Q2 result

Tata Tele loss rises to Rs 108 cr
Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd has posted a higher net loss of Rs 107.98 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, compared with a net loss of Rs 47.35 crore recorded during the same quarter of the previous financial year.

Gujarat Gas PAT up 12.62%
Gujarat Gas Company Ltd, the country’s largest private gas distributor, posted a 12.62 per cent rise in profit after tax for the quarter ended September 30 to Rs 44.6 crore on the back of higher retail sales. Net sales for the quarter was up by 19.27 per cent to Rs 380.6 crore.

 

FDC net at Rs 46 crore
Mumbai-based drug manufacturer FDC Ltd posted a net profit of Rs 45.80 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 74 per cent higher than the Rs 26.25 crore reported in the corresponding previous year quarter. Net sales of the company increased to Rs 180.59 crore, 14.67 per cent higher than the Rs 157.48 crore in the corresponding previous year quarter.

Syntel net income up 37%
Nasdaq-listed IT services and knowledge process outsourcing firm Syntel posted a net income of Rs 147 crore ($30.3 million) for the third quarter ended September 30, — a rise of 37 per cent from Rs 107 crore ($22.1 million) in the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue was marginally up by 0.7 per cent at Rs 506 crore ($104.7 million), from Rs 502 crore ($103.8 million) in the same quarter last year.
