Lebua Hotels & Resorts, a Thailand-headquartered luxury hospitality chain, with properties in Bangkok and New Zealand, is planning to enter India. The group is in talks with two parties in Delhi and Mumbai for making a foray into the country, CEO Deepak Ohri told Business Standard.
The first Lebua hotel may come up in India in the next two years, if it gets a readymade property. It will take longer in the case of a new project. Taking the management contract route, the Thai hospitality major is looking at managing hotels in India and giving them its brand name, while the investment will come from the owner.
