United India launches two medical insurance policies

United India Insurance Company Ltd on Wednesday launched two medical insurance policies — Top-up and Super Top Up — to augment its health insurance segment. Speaking to reporters here in Chennai, G Srinivasan, chairman and managing director of the company, said health insurance was the fastest growing segment at 50-60 per cent on a yearly basis and the new products would enable the company to scale up its business in this segment.

“With this two new medical insurance products, we expect health insurance to contribute 21 per cent to our total business by 2008-09 as against 18 per cent at present,” he added.
