Us Allows Analog To Ship Chips To Isro

Analog Devices Inc, the $1.7 billion US chip maker, has been allowed by the United States to re-start shipping chips to the Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro).

The US had disallowed high technology shipments to Indian defence and space research organisations soon after India conducted its nuclear tests.

Ashok Kamath, managing director, Analog Devices India, said the US State Department had accorded the company permission, two days ago, to start chip shipments to ISRO after a gap of three years.
