Usha Martin, a leading producer of specialty steels and a top global producer of wire ropes, has registered a 18.23 per cent increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 30.41 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2012 compared to consolidated net profit of 25.72 crore in the corresponding period of previous fiscal.
The company posted a 8.91 per cent rise in net sales to Rs 889.05 crore during the period. Shares of Usha Martin on Wednesday ended at Rs 30.90, up 4.75 per cent, on the BSE.
