Visa Inc and MyUS.com have partnered to make buying from US stores easier for consumers overseas. The partnership enables Visa cardholders to access deals and to pay with their preferred card. Shoppers can take advantage of big discounts in the annual Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales which mark the start of the holiday season.

Visa cardholders can now enjoy privileges including the waiving of membership fees for two years, saving of 25% in the first month, 20% on future shipments and $100 free insurance.

MyUS provides access to US stores for international customers through its personal shipping service, including stores that do not ship internationally or accept non-US payment cards. It is a package-forwarding service.

“The ability to buy top US brands and have the goods delivered in over 200 countries is a very attractive proposition for consumers. Our research shows that 25% consumers consider using an online shopping service to help them purchase from overseas stores in the next 12 months,” said Paul Jung, Visa’s Head of eCommerce Solutions for Asia Pacific, Central Europe, Middle East and Africa. “Our partnership with MyUS allows Visa cardholders to complete payment with their preferred card as well as take advantage of offers that will increase their savings even more,” he added.

Consumers also have the ability to shop through the site’s personal shopper service which can help them complete purchases from auction sites or place personalised orders. This is in addition to being able to source discounts through coupon-finder and price comparison services.
