Water purifier market to touch Rs 7,000 cr by 2015
Growth driven by rising sales of low-cost variants due to extreme shortage of drinking water across India

The domestic water purifier market in India is likely touch Rs 7,000 crore by 2015 from the current level of Rs 3,200 crore.
“The segment has been growing at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of about 25%,” leading water purifier solutions company Kent RO Systems chairman Mahesh Gupta said here today.
He said the growth was driven by rising sales of low-cost variants due to extreme shortage of drinking water across India. Gupta was in town to launch company’s latest product line in Uttar Pradesh. “We have a market share of 40% in India,” he informed.
