Highlighting various challenges before the Indian Air Force, Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha, has briefed personnel of the Southern Air Command here about the undergoing capability building through modernisation and acquisitions.
According to a Defence release, he briefed the SAC personnel on the initiatives taken to improve operational capability of the IAF.
During his interaction with the command staff, Raha focused on various challenges before the IAF in the coming years and the undergoing capability building through modernisation and acquisitions.
While complimenting the personnel of the SAC on their diligence, he exhorted them to be good professionals and operationalise the new equipment in a systematic manner.
On his arrival here for two-day visit yesterday, Raha and his wife Lily Raha were accorded a Guard of Honour by the command personnel.
