AP power utilities geared up to tackle breakdowns

Have kept centralised breakdown teams ready with necessary tools to take up restoration work immediately if power supply is disrupted

The Andhra Pradesh power utilities have kept the centralized breakdown (CBD) teams ready with necessary tools to take up restoration work immediately if the power supply is disrupted by Phailin cyclone.

 

According to the state energy coordination cell member secretary,  regular construction work has been halted temporarily and the entire manpower has been diverted for the restoration works.

 

Material such as transformers, poles, conductors, insulators and tower parts spares necessary for restoration works are kept ready.Diesel generator Sets are kept ready in all the 400 kV substations & 220 kV substations along the coastal districts.
