Contrary to the Union Railway Minister claims that he has nothing to do with companies run by his kin and relatives, the statement of assets and liabilities as on March 31, 2012 submitted by him states that he has given loan to Theon Pharmaceuticals run by his sons.

However the quantum of loan is not mentioned.

Furthermore, his spouse Madhu Bansal drew a net salary of Rs 12.97 lakh as remuneration for Whole Time Director and Rs 33.60 lakh as dividend in FY ending March 31, 2011 from Theon Pharmaceuticals.

The documents also point out that her wife has equity of Rs 27.10 lakh in the company  and in addition to that she has given a loan of Rs 17 lakh to Theon.

While during the previous year, she received an amount of Rs 16.26 lakhs as dividend for 2009-10.

This was reveled by local BJP leader and ex MP Satya Pal Jain and documents stating these figures were handed over to media persons here in Chandigarh.

Taking a dig at Union Minister of Railways Pawan Kumar Bansal, Jain demanded that Bansal should be questioned by CBI so that truth should come out. He questioned that how Bansal is unaware of the companies function when  many of the family members in the company were drawing huge remuneration.

He also alleged there are some irregularities in companies run by Bansal’s kin and demanded a CBI probe.

He demanded that Bansal should resign as soon as possible for preserving the dignity of the country and the beginning has to be made with holders of high public offices as the system is and ought to be based on morality.
