As a 40-member team of Central Bureau of Investigation has begun probe into the country’s most ill-famed Vyapam scam, the ruling BJP top brass is learnt to have asked its workers not to retaliate on Vyapam issue. Unconfirmed reports also came out that BJP president Amit Shah, who is currently in Bhopal to review the progress of the party’s ambitious Maha Jansampark Abhiyan, asked CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan to shelve his Swabhiman Yatra. Chouhan wanted to go around the state to convey to the public that he had done everything possible to bring the guilty to the justice.
“Nothing has been announced so far but party workers have been asked to remain calm on the issue, retaliation against Congress may not yield results,” party sources said.
Amit Shah and Chouhan both evaded media at airport and both remained “tight-lipped” over the issue.
The party claims to have registered 11.4 million new members in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
The party state unit chief Nandkumar Chouhan has termed Chouhan (Chief minister) as clean as “holy waters of Ganges” and said the party would launch a campaing to convey the truth about Vyapam, which they say is that Chouhan initiated probe into the scam separately.
A few other reports say that Chouhan intends to embark upon the march from first week of the August.
