Police, assisted by bomb disposal squad, are searching Infosys' office premises in Mangalore, following a phone call that a bomb has been planted there.
"A call was received at the Infosys office this afternoon stating that a bomb had been placed inside the campus," Commissioner of Police Mangalore Manish Kharbikar told PTI.
Following the call, bomb disposal and dog squads with police personnel were deployed to comb the entire area and the campus at Kottara in Mangalore was evacuated, he said.
The search operation has not yielded anything yet, Kharbikar said, adding, "however, police are still combing the area to rule out any possibility."
"We will also investigate from where the call was made, and people behind it," he added.
