The Cyclone Hudhud has made landfall at the Visakhapatnam coast with wind speed reaching 180 kmph.
It claimed two lives in coastal AP.
The Met Department says there will be lull for about one hour before storm intensifies again in Vizag and its surroundings areas.
Maximum wind speed has currently reached 205 kmph.
For the next six hours it will still be a "severe cyclone" and in the following six hours it'll reduce to a depression when the wind speed is expected to reduce by 50%, the IMD said.
Eastern UP, MP & Chhattisgarh will also see rainfall.
