India on Tuesday reported a net reduction of 12,447 in active coronavirus cases to take its count to 214,900. India’s share of global active coronavirus cases now stands at 1.2 per cent (one in 83). The country is ninth among the most affected countries by active cases. On Monday, it added 14,313 cases to take its total caseload to 33,985,920 from 33,971,607 — an increase of 0.1%. And, with 181 new fatalities, its Covid-19 death toll reached 450,963, or 1.33 per cent of total confirmed infections.
