At 214,507, India's active Covid cases down by nearly 80% from Sep 18 peak of 1,017,754

India on Wednesday reported a net reduction of 2,051 to take its count of active coronavirus cases to 214,507, the lowest since June 29 and 78.72 per cent lower than the September 18 peak of 1,017,754. India’s share of global active coronavirus cases has declined to 0.89 per cent (one in 112). The country is 13^th among the most affected countries by active cases. India added 15,968 cases to take its total caseload to 10,495,147. And, with 202 new fatalities its Covid-19 death toll reached 151,529, or 1.44 per cent of total confirmed infections.
