FM Phase-III bidding touches Rs 1,130 cr

At the end of four weeks, bids for phase three of private FM channels touched Rs 1,130.51 crore, statement from the ministry of information & broadcasting on Friday.
In all, 94 channels in 56 cities became provisional winning channels with a cumulative price that was over two and a half times higher than the original reserve price.
The latter stood at Rs 459 crore. Bidding will continue into the next week, the ministry said on Friday, with the auction process to commence at 9.30 am on Monday.
