JEE main 2017 admit cards out

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2017 main admit cards at the official website jeemain.nic.in. The fifth JEE 2017 main will be held on April 2, 2017.
 
CBSE conducts the examination for admission to Undergraduate Engineering programs in NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded technical institutions (CFTI) etc.
 
The main exam will be held on April 2, 2017 and the JEE advanced 2017 will be conducted by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras on May 21, 2017. 
 
Dates to remember

JEE Main 2017 (pen and paper examination): April 2, 2017
JEE Main 2017 (computer-based examination): April 8 and 9, 2017
JEE Advanced 2017: May 21, 2017
 
Download the admit cards

Candidates who have submitted the online application and paid the examination fee will be allowed to appear in JEE main and their admit cards will be uploaded on the official website of JEE. The step-by-step guide on how to download JEE main 2017 admit card:
Visit the official website jeemain.nic.in
Click on the Download Admit Card of JEE (Main) 2017 tab
Enter application number, date of birth and enter the security pin
Click on submit button
Admit card will appear on the screen
Download the admit card
Take a print out for future reference
 
Candidates have to get the admit card to the examination.
 
IIT JEE
To qualify for JEE, students need to have at least 75 per cent marks or be in top 20 percentile in Class 12 examination. For SC/ST students, the qualifying marks would be 65 per cent. However, there shall be no weightage for the class 12 marks in calculating the ranks in the JEE main examination 2017.
 
If a candidate has submitted more than one application, at the time of issuing admit card of JEE main, both the application of a candidate (which appear to be similar) are merged and only one admit card is issued. However, the candidate should send e-mail to jeemain@nic.in mentioning both the application numbers and specifying clearly the application number which they want to be considered.
 
If a candidate does not make any selection, he/she shall be randomly assigned a slot/date as per the availability of the same in the examination city selected by them.

The 2,20,000 candidates who clear JEE Main will be eligible to take JEE Advanced 2017.
 
Mode of examination

The Paper-1 (B.E./B. Tech.) of JEE main will be conducted in two separate modes i.e. offline, pen and paper-based examination mode, and online, computer-based examination mode. The Paper-2 (B. Arch./B. Planning.) of JEE main will be conducted only in pen and paper-based examination mode.
 
A candidate can opt for either pen-and-paper-based, or computer-based examination modes for paper-1 (B.E /B. Tech.) only.
 
JEE main 2017 have two papers, paper-1 (B.E /B.Tech) and paper-2 (B.Arch / B. Planning). Candidates may take paper-1 (B.E /B.Tech) or paper-2 (B.Arch / B. Planning), or both as per the course(s) they are seeking admission to.
 
Subject combinations for each paper, type of questions in each paper and mode of examination available is:
