Kathleen Stephens to be US envoy: Reports

Former US ambassador to South Korea Kathleen Stephens has been named the US's top envoy to India, the global media reported on Thursday. She will be the envoy till a permanent appointment is made. Stephens, a career foreign service officer, will arrive in Delhi in early June. She worked as ambassador to Seoul from 2008 to 2011 and previously served in posts in Washington, Asia, and Europe, the reports said. She will replace Nancy Powell.
