Puthiya Tamizhakam today condemned the arrest and detention under National Security Act of Tamil folk song artist Kovan on charge of sedition and termed it as "undemocratic."
The act was invoked against those working against sovereignty and integrity of the Nation and Kovan could have been booked under any other section and this clearly showed misuse of NSA, PT founder president Dr K Krishnasamy told reporters here.
He urged the Government to immediately withdraw the sedition charge and release him.
