SC to hear plea against Shahabuddin's bail

The Supreme Court said that it will hear the Bihar government's petition, challenging the bail of the criminal-turned-politician, Mohammad Shahabuddin, granted by the Patna High Court earlier this month.

The hearing is scheduled to take place on September 28.

Chandrakeshwar Prasad, who is the father of the slain journalist Rajiv Roshan and hails from the Siwan city in Bihar, has moved the apex court challenging the Patna High Court's September 7 order granting bail to Shahabuddin. The trial in the murder case is yet to commence.
