Sidharth Birla takes over as Ficci president

Xpro India Chairman Sidharth Birla is the new president of Ficci. He took over from HSBC India head Naina Lal Kidwai at the conclusion of the chamber's annual general meeting on Saturday. Aged 56, Birla is an entrepreneur with core business interests in manufacturing. He is the founder of Digjam Limited, manufacturer of woollen worsted suiting fabrics.
