Special trains between Howrah and Ranchi for Diwali, Chhath from October 15

The South Eastern Railway will run nine pairs of special trains between Howrah and Ranchi from October 15 to clear passenger rush during Diwali and Chhath.

The 08627 Howrah-Ranchi special would leave station at 3.30pm every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday from October 15 to October 31 and reach Ranchi at 11.55pm the same day, a SER spokesman said here today.

Similarly, the 08628 Ranchi-Howrah special would start its journey at 5.45am every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday between October 15 and October 31 and arrive at its destination at 3.15 pm on the same day, he said.

The special trains would comprise two AC chair car, seven general chair car and three general second-class coaches.
 

The trains would stop at Kharagpur, Midnapur, Bishnupur, Bankura, Adra, Bhojudih, Mohuda, Chandrapura, Bokaro Steel City, Jhalda and Muri stations, the spokesman added.
