The Supreme Court on Wednesday warned the BCCI to respond to the Lodha panel's report till October 6. This followed a complaint by the court appointed Lodha panel who accused the board of stalling reforms at every step by disregarding the recommendations made by them.
The Supreme Court said, "You (BCCI) are behaving like Lords. Fall in line otherwise we will make you fall in line."
The Lodha panel had moved the Supreme Court seeking sacking of BCCI top brass including president Anurag Thakur for non-compliance of SC orders. The panel also urged the Chief Justice of India for an early hearing.
The SC-appointed panel held an internal meeting here to discuss the violations, specifically the election of secretary and appointment of a five-member selection committee, by BCCI in its Annual General Meeting on September 21.
The Lodha panel on Tuesday said it will file a status report with the Supreme Court, highlight the "impediments" in the implementation of its reform proposals to the board.
