Teens make up 3% of India voters

Of the 815 million eligible voters, 23 million (3%) are in the 18-19 age group. They are 2.8 per cent of the voters. Uttar Pradesh has the most new voters, 3.8 million, followed by West Bengal, two million. Dadra and Nagar Haveli has the highest proportion of new voters at 9.8 per cent, followed by Jharkhand, 9.03 per cent. Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Himachal Pradesh have the least percentages.
