Akhilesh's swearing-in ceremony to be streamed online

The swearing-in ceremony of Akhilesh Yadav as the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh will be streamed live across various social media and digital platforms at 10:30 am today.

The Samajwadi Party’s website, the party’s Facebook page, YouTube and DailyMotion will stream live the event of Yadav -- slated to be the youngest chief minister in India -- taking his oath of office.

The ceremony can also be viewed by 3G users across service providers on their mobile phones.

This is the first time that a political party is exploiting the vast reach of digital medium for a swearing-in ceremony.
