Ahead of the coming polls, a two-day Confederation of Indian Industry annual general meeting, starting Wednesday, will see corporate honchos, politicians, bureaucrats and economists from across the country discussing the future of the economy after the general elections.
At least 1,000 industrialists will attend the meeting. The theme for this year's deliberations is Managing Change: Role of Leadership & Institutions. The inaugural session will be addressed by Commerce Minister Anand Sharma and the Bharatiya Janata Party national president, Rajnath Singh, will be addressing the valedictory session.
Election Commissioner H S Brahma will also be speaking on preparations of managing the longest elections in India's history. Special sessions on managing the business during adverse economic conditions with special focus on public sector undertakings will also be held.
