EPFO rate may be higher than 8.25%

The interest rate of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) for its over 50 million subscribers for this financial year could be higher than 8.25 per cent provided last year, Labour Minister Mallikarjun Kharge said on Tuesday while launching an electronic mechanism that promises to bring transparency and accessibility by providing employers the opportunity to file returns online anytime from anywhere.
