Gold prices today rose for the third straight day and gained Rs 10 to Rs 12,500 per 10 grams in the bullion market here today on stockists' demand encouraged by strong global trend where gold surged as a hedged against inflation.

</p><p class='TableClas'>In London, gold for immediate delivery rose $7 to $909.40 an ounce on speculation that rising commodity prices would spur demand from investors as a hedge against inflation. </P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>It soared to $910.01 in early trade, the highest since April 23. Silver ready moved up by Rs 120 to Rs 23,870 per kg and weekly-based delivery by Rs 20 to Rs 23,570 per kg. Silver coins were also up by Rs 100 to Rs 26,800 for buying and Rs 26,900 for selling of 100 pieces.</P>
