Govt To Appoint Nodal Officer As Single-Window Facilitator

In a radical move, the government has decided in principle to appoint a nodal officer who will act as a single-window facilitator for luring foreign direct investments (FDI) into the country and make India an attractive destination for investments.

According to top government officials, it would not be easy for the Centre to put in place a single-window agency to clear investment proposals for foreign companies.
