Haryana CM welcomes budget

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has welcomed the Railway Budget presented by Union Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee.
In a statement issued here today, Hooda also appreciated that Ambala Cantt Railway Station had been identified to be turned into a world class station and construction of Hisar junction and Sonipat as multi-functional complexes. He said the other decisions like setting up of a bottling plant at Ambala to provide clean drinking water at much cheaper rates was much welcome.
The Railway Budget proposed the setting up of Out Patient Departments (OPD) and diagnostic centres at Bahadurgarh, Ballabhgarh, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Jind, Kalka, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Rohtak and Sonipat. In addition, secondary-level general speciality hospitals have been proposed at Ambala Cantt, Jind, Kurukshetra and Sonipat. Also, tertiary-level multi-specialty hospital will be established at Rewari and the Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana would be extended to all licensed porters, vendors and hawkers, who are from the unorganised sector and are socially challenged.
Hooda welcomed the decision of the railway minister to update the surveys for some lines including Abohar-Tohana via Fatehabad, Bahadurgarh-Jhajjar, Palwal-Alwar, Panipat-Meerut, Chandigarh-Dehradun via Jagadhari, Patiala-Jakhal/Narwana via Samana, Patiala-Kurushetra, Hisar-Sirsa via Agroha, Fatehabad, Jagadhri-Paonta Sahib-Rajban and Kaithal-Karnal.
