IIT-Gn readies for Young Researchers' Conclave

Even as it readies itself for the first Young Researchers Conclave (YRC), the Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar (IIT-Gn) said that it has finalised the candidates for the event. The institute's first Young Researchers Conclave (YRC), will be held this December.

"The institute received close to 200 applications for the event, from scholars from both Indian and the leading global universities, of which 70 PhD-holders have been selected," said SK Jain, director of IIT-Gn Director S K Jain. "The two-day conclave beginning December 27 shall be a multipurpose event. The bright ones amongst the participants, with good track records, can also be hired here," he said.

 

The participants shall share their views on how emerging higher technical institutes of learning in India can be made world-class in research. Moreover, the participants will also talk about the challenges faced by the Indian academia.
