The Maharana Pratap Group of Institutions, which runs academic and professional courses in eight colleges across the state, is setting up an integrated college spread over 100 acres at Bithur near Kanpur.
Institute director Shailendra Bhadauria said all the eight campuses would be integrated to form Maharana Pratap University according to the Uttar Pradesh Universities Act from the upcoming session.
“We will also start two new campuses at Noida and Lucknow from next year,” he said. Bhadauria is optimistic that despite the ongoing global downturn, the demand for professional courses would witness an upsurge.
The institute is also setting up a university, spread over 125 acres, in Amer, Rajasthan, by April next year.
“We plan to introduce around 50 courses in various disciplines teaching over 50,000 students in the next five years, covering fields like paramedical and pharmacy along with technical ones,” he told.
