World Economic Forum (WEF) has invited Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for The India Economic Summit, to be organised in Mumbai.
WEF in association with CII and Maharashtra government will host the summit on November 13-14. Chouhan will address the session and speak on Central policies and their implementation in states, developing brands for investment and coordination among states.
Based on Linking Leadership with Livelihood, theme, the summit will convene 650 leaders from business, government and civil society from over 40 countries. The programme will focus on how India can sustain a high-growth economy and allow equitable distribution of opportunities amid concerns of a renewed global economic slowdown alongside domestic pressures. The IES, according to a summary sent to the chief minister, will have key issues; How Indian companies pioneering new cross border business models?
