Mumbai Terror: ACP Kamte cremated with state honour

A gun salute reverberated in the air as mortal remains of Mumbai ACP Ashok Kamte killed in the terrorist combat operation in Mumbai last night, were cremated today with state honour here.
Kamte's body, brought to his residence here from Mumbai, was taken in a procession to Vaikunth crematorium as activists of various social and political organisations raised slogans hailing the officer's supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.
Pune Mayor Rajlaxmi Bhosale and University Vice Chancellor Narendra Jadhav joined a large number of top police officials who were present to pay their last respects to Kamte who fell to terrorists' bullets.
