Company managing director and chief executive officer ABRP Reddy said the course, like the BSc programme, would be offered in collaboration with the Centennial College,Toronto. The course is designed for all graduates and does not require any prior experience in animation. The fee is Rs 3.8 lakh. The two-year course will also include a three-month internship providing students a chance to work on real-time projects.
The course will have an intake of 48 students and the admission will be based on an aptitude test.
"There is no formal education system in the animation sector, which is growing at a compound annual growth rate of 25 per cent," said Reddy.
The company is spending about Rs 2 crore on the Hyderabad campus. Besides, it is setting up two campuses in Mumbai and one each in Ahmedabad, Lucknow and Chandigarh at an investment of Rs 1.5 crore each, according to Reddy.
