The Andhra Pradesh government on Tuesday celebrated the state formation day amid widespread protests across the Telangana region with pro-statehood outfits terming it as a black day.
Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy hoisted the national flag in the state capital. Addressing the celebrations, the chief minister said his government was committed to development of all the regions. He also launched the Re 1-a-kg rice scheme, meant for below poverty line families, on the occasion.
