The Telugu Desam, one of the principal constituents of the United Front, yesterday resolved not to be party to any coalition government involving the Congress.
There is no question of sharing power with the Congress at any cost nor do we intend to have any truck with the BJP, TDP president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu told reporters here yesterday night.
A meeting of the TDP politburo, chaired by Naidu, reaffirmed faith in the leadership of Deve Gowda and ruled out any negotiation on leadership issue.
Expressing confidence that the UF government would win the trial of strength on April 11, Naidu, who was in touch with front leaders over telephone throughout the day, said the Congress will have to reconcile to realities.
Naidu refused to comment when asked whether he expected a split in the Congress.
