'Trai views may lead to legal challenges'

The recommendations of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on uniform spectrum usage charges (SUC), specially the proposal to raise these for the broadband wireless access (BWA) spectrum holders, would lead to serious legal challenges if implemented and deserve to be set aside, a report by advocate Ramji Srinivasan said. Srinivasan gave his views after Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio Infocomm sought opinion as to the legal validity and correctness of the views.
