The university, which opened its office here today, has already entered into partnerships with six universities in India.
"We want to carry out joint research and students' and faculty exchange programmes for mutual benefit," its vice chancellor Prof Philip Jones told reporters here.
The newly-opened office would look after the Indian students going to the university for higher studies, he said.

The university has a total strength of 30,000 students including about 3000 international students. There are about 400 Indian students.
The university awarded a full scholarship to an Indian student on the occasion.
However, Sheffield Hallam does not have any plan to open a campus in India in near future, Jones said.
