We are already into Make in India: Swedish PM

Prime Minister of Sweden Steven Lofven on Sunday said Swdish companies are already into Make in India and will increase its capacities in India as part of initiative. 

He was at Chakan in Pune to visit the Tetra Pak plant and the upcoming Ericsson facility in the city. The Swedish PM is his two-day tour to India to participate in make in India event.  However, he did not disclose any specific any specific details about the investment by individual companies. 

"There is a growing confidence for Swedish companies in India. Our companies’ contribution will grow alongside India-Sweden relations. Tetra Pak also has a strong commitment for environment. There is make in India, make for India and Clean India," said Lofven. 
 
Telecom infrastructure company Ericsson has set up a new plant in Chakan with the investment of Rs 15 million. It will manufacture future products for 2G, 3G and 4G technologies at this Plant including radio and microwave products and will serve as export hub for South East Asia, West Asia and Sub Saharan African markets.
