How to download: Candidates must visit the official site cbsenet.nic.in. On the home page, search for the link for Login for Admit Card & Image Correction and click on the same. On the new page, provide your registration number and password to login to the website. UGC NET 2017 will consist of 3 papers (Paper I, Paper II and Paper III). Candidates need to attempt the 3 papers in three different sessions. Time duration for Paper I and Paper II is 1.25 hours each and for that of third paper is 2.5 hours. All three papers consist of objective type questions. The first paper is of 100 marks, has 50 questions all of which are compulsory. Similarly second paper too is of 100 marks, has 50 questions all of which are compulsory. The third paper is of 150 marks, has 75 compulsory questions.

The aim of NET is to ascertain minimum standards for the entrants in teaching professions and research. On behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC), the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts the test for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Assistant Professor Both in Indian universities and colleges.
