IndusInd allows customers to choose their bank account numbers

Customers can now choose from their lucky, favorite, phone number, birth date or just something simple as their bank account number

IndusInd Bank today said it will now allow its customers to choose their bank account numbers.

The new proposition 'My Account, My Number' will allow the bank's customers to choose up to 10 of 12 digits of the account number on the basis of their preference for lucky numbers, favourite numbers, phone numbers, birthdates or just something simple to remember.

"This service is an outcome of extensive consumer research and a clear need-gap that was identified over period of time. We feel that there is a growing market for this innovative proposition considering the fascination towards special or favourite numbers," Sumant Kathpalia, head of consumer banking at IndusInd Bank, said.
